Give Me the Time of Day

(Somewhere in Eastern Kentucky 6:00am)

"Wake up, Cheron! It’s that time of day again! Time to get up and get ready for school." her mother called as she opened her blinds.

"Mom! Children in Hawaii are still sleeping. Why can’t I stay in bed too?"

"Now Cheron, you know why they are still in bed. You learned about that in science class! They’ll have to go to school today too. You just need to get up and start your day."

"All right! Just give me five more minutes. Please?"
